Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist, able to independently provide local anesthetic, and has a thirst for continuing education and self-improvement. Responsibilities
  • Discuss the dental treatment plan with patients and answer any questions they have
  • Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories
  • Perform preliminary exams, all aspects of dental hygiene,  and collect oral health histories
  • Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, malocclusion, and infection
  • Teach good oral hygiene techniques 
  • Create dental impressions/scans/images/photos
  • Take diagnostic  x-rays
  • Assist dentist during procedures and exams
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
  • Able to travel for CE domestically and abroad
  • Participate in team beautification and office upkeep activities
  • Be a reliable team member
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Current Virginia Dental Hygienist licensure
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene preferred but new graduates welcomed as well
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
  • Have a U.S. passport
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
