Job Description

The Lafayette Bar Association, a membership organization representing nearly 1,000 attorneys in the Lafayette area, has an immediate need of a Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

In this role you will:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan for the Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation

· Manage marketing campaigns for various programs and events, as well as membership

· Create content for print and digital media

· Manage the Lafayette Bar's website and social media accounts

· Design all materials including posters, brochures, flyers, invitations and sponsor boards

· Develop and maintain good working relationships with outside vendors – printers, AMS provider, etc.

· Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with all local media outlets

· Manage publication of the Association's bi-monthly newsletter The Promulgator including design, layout, and ads management

· Process membership applications, update member records, prepare reports

· Devise marketing plans to increase membership retention and renewal

· Coordinate and execute email campaigns, including association’s weekly e-newsletter

· Staff liaison to special committees and sections

· Coordinate the production of video content and operate video conferencing/live streaming for various events

· Communicate with vendors and sponsors

· Secure significant sponsorships of all Bar Association, Foundation and section events

· Create and implement a comprehensive membership renewal and retention plan as well as ensure all newly admitted attorneys are invited to join the LBA

· Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Director

 

Requirements:

· Excellent communications skills, including writing and editing

· Graphic design capabilities including experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat

· Social media platform experience

· Fundraising or sales experience a plus

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Experience using both Mac and PC systems preferred but not required

· Familiarity with association management systems a plus

· Knowledge of video conferencing

· Available to attend after-hours events and able to complete occasional overnight travel

· Highly driven and results-oriented

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Able to multitask and manage multiple projects
