ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. For the Maintenance Technician role. 

  • Make repairs on Extrusion Presses to minimize downtime and address problems pro-actively.
  • Interfaces with Extrusion and Paint line Employees, shift supervisors, engineering, warehouse production and packaging supervisors and QA/QC personnel
  • Responsible for completing preventive maintenance programs on all Company Equipment
  • Conducts regular assessment and routinely inspects operating machinery, equipment and supporting systems.
  • Maintains and repair machinery, equipment, systems and mechanized vehicles.
  • Ensures safe work practices and ensures a safe work environment.
  • Verifies and ensures the documentation of all repair records, preventive maintenance records and logs all filters and replacement parts.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 3- 5 years of experience working with MANUFACTURING equipment REQUIRED
  • Working knowledge in operation and maintenance of MANUFACTURING Facility management services, blueprint reading and equipment maintenance
  • Must possess knowledge of OSHA requirements and Confined Space/Lock-Out Tag-Out requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, opening and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to communicate with fellow employees, supervisors and managers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, to draw and interpret bar graphs.    

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed extremely high temperatures, moving mechanical parts and high precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 

SALARY RANGE: $25.00 TO $27.00 per hour for the Maintenance Technician role, depending on experience.
