Salary: $17 hourly

The Front Desk/Guest Services Agent is the face of Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor, ME. As the first point of contact for guests before, during and after their stay this position carries unique responsibilities. This position requires an exceptional level of guest service throughout the guest’s stay.  This is a seasonal position that starts approximately May 1.


Responsibilities 

  • Answer and respond to inquiries via telephone; providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities. Also provide information about our resort.
  • Check guests in and out.
  • Act as a concierge by offering suggestions for guests while adding personal recommendations and sharing local knowledge.
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of service and professionalism while accommodating special requests whenever possible, respond to guest complaints and escalate to proper management as needed, assist guests with inquiries regarding services, hours of operations of various outlets, events, directions, etc.
  • Create reservations, make changes to reservations.
  • Answer guest calls and direct guests appropriately.
  • Act as liaison with Housekeeping Staff regarding guest rooms, etc.
  • Upsell additional services, packages and retail items when appropriate.

Requirements & Skills

  • Previous hotel experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have a polite, pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Must be outgoing and enjoy helping others.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be responsible and trustworthy.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a stressful situation.
  • Must be able to work alone or within a team.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule (must be able to work holidays and weekends).

       Education

  • High School Diploma (as a minimum requirement), while courses in hospitality management are preferred.
