Sodexo Corporate Services North America is seeking an experienced Catering Manager 3 to join our team at HCA in Nashville, Tennessee. Sodexo manages the cafe that serves breakfast and lunch and catering operations.
About our Catering at HCA
90% of our catering is day to day catering to include coffee drop offs, continental breakfasts, breakfast and lunch deliveries across the campus. The other 10% is special events to include, dinners, holiday parties, receptions, high end board of director lunches.. Some of our events are after hour events starting at 4 or 5pm. Our catering events takes place M-F no weekends.
Duties of the Catering Manager 3 will include but not limited to:
- overseeing and ensuring catering deliveries across campus
- overseeing set up and breakdown of events
- detailing and execution of high end events
- ordering
- managing a team of 3 hourly employees, one of which is a catering supervisor
- working with our chef on catering menus
- BEO's
- assisting the Food Operation Manager with Front of the house operations when needed
The ideal candidate will have excellent client and customer service skills, be able to multi-task, be detail-orientated, lead by example and direct employees in a fast-paced environment. There is daily contact with clients.
This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.

Qualifications & Requirements:Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
