Guest Services & Compliance Manager

The starting salary for this position is $48,000

Summary: This position oversees the camp reservations and contracts, coordinating guest/group relations, ensuring American Camping Association membership and requirements met and maintained and responsible for housekeeping duties and all staff assigned to housekeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and maintain reservations and contracts throughout the year, this includes promoting and recruiting for Western Plains Camp as a camp and retreat venue working in partnership with the Youth Department to obtain summer staff.
• Tracking and monitoring of files, invoicing, payments, reservations, and statistics while managing invoicing with DHQ finance.
• Provide accommodation for all campers and guests. (setup/tear down, dietary requests, program activities, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and American Camping Association regulations for camp operations and camp staff.
• Responsible for safety in all areas of risk, including property, activities, children and youth worker protection.
• Prepare, post, and practice Emergency Response Plan for TSA camp and Group Rental camps.
• Main TSA representative to ACA working as a team with the Youth Department to maintain compliance.
• Maintain clean and tidy facilities throughout campground with an emphasis on living quarters and common areas which are subject to inspection by outside authorities/agencies.
• Work closely with Camp Director to communicate with outside inspection agencies.
• Responsible for all staff assigned to help with housekeeping.
• This position will require you to work hours outside of the normal work schedule to include nights, weekends and occasional holidays as needed or directed.
• Driving is a requirement of the role.
• All other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee maintenance, housekeeping and food services staff, volunteers, and seasonal employees.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, one to two years of relevant experience preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, internal database as well as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping, and personal data via a web-based system.

• Ability to handle and maintain confidential matters.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong independent judgement.
