What You'll Do
NPT is seeking a Staff Accountant that is responsible for the reconciliation of all donor advised funds (DAF) cash and investment accounts including monthly reconciliation with the general ledger and NPT holdings.
Position requires a hybrid work model with three days in-office per week. Salary range: $51,000 - $54,000.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliations of cash and investment accounts.
  • Record appropriate journal entries for dividends, interest income, realized and unrealized gains/loss reconciling items associated with donor advised funds.
  • Create proper reports associated with the reconciling of all donor advised funds and preparing corporate financial statements
  • Participate in annual audit process, ensuring auditors are provided with appropriate documents, answer any questions necessary for auditors to perform their function.
  • Assist other members of Finance Team as needed regarding questions related to DAF programs or Stellar Financial System.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in general accounting.
  • Working knowledge of various financial accounting software packages.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or not-for-profit environment helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, to analyze problematic situations and to prioritize projects.
  • Must be able to function independently as well as in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
