Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Bay City, Texas

Duration:Full School Year

Are you looking to tie down a position for the uping school year now? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SLPA to join our team for a school-based position in Bay City, TX. The candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders.This position is for the full uping school year within one of our favorite districts to work with!

  • Full-time, hours guaranteed per week
  • Full School Year
  • Caseload details provided on an interview with district

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, language prehension, and munication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for each student
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay informed of the latest therapy techniques and best practices

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Active Texas Speech Language Pathology Assistant License
  • Experience working with school-aged children with speech and language disorders preferred
  • Experience with a variety of treatment approaches and modalities, including AAC, PROMPT, and social munication interventions
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
