Job Description: VocoVision is currently seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) based in Wyoming to join our team as a remote contractor. As an SLP, you will work with a diverse K-12 student population, conducting assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and providing virtual therapy sessions to help students overcome communication disorders. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders, using standardized tests and informal measures.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to gather relevant information and develop comprehensive therapy plans.
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions to students with communication disorders, utilizing evidence-based interventions and strategies.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Engage in regular communication with parents and school staff to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and other collaborative sessions to contribute to students' overall educational plans.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and trends in speech language pathology, and incorporate them into your therapy approaches.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Valid Wyoming state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with K-12 population, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of speech and language development, communication disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet established deadlines.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer with video conferencing capabilities.
  • Comfortable using technology platforms and software for virtual therapy sessions.
