Certified Medical Coder – CPC / RHIT / CCS / CRC

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Certified Medical Coder – CPC / RHIT / CCS / CRC to fill an opening with a large Health Network in The Villages, FL.

Daily Responsibilities for Certified Medical Coder – CPC / RHIT / CCS / CRC:

• The Coder supports the team by reviewing charts and other documentation of diagnoses, treatments, procedures, etc. to correct errors and coordinate with providers and other medical staff to educate on accurate documenting guidelines
• Collaborates with billing department to ensure efficient billing and insurance processes
• Mon-Fri: Training 8-5pm, This is a fully in office role.
  • Once out of training – opportunity to release early on Fridays by working 8.5-9 hour days Mon-Thurs
    

Required Qualifications for Certified Medical Coder – CPC / RHIT / CCS / CRC:

• High School Diploma
• 1+ Year coding experience
• At least 1 coding certification: CPC, RHIT, CCS, CRC, will consider CCA (must be open to obtain CRC within one year of employment – at the cost of the organization)
• Experience interpreting medical records and interacting with providers on coding items

Preferred Qualifications for Certified Medical Coder – CPC / RHIT / CCS / CRC:

• Some college coursework preferred
