About this job

Looking for experienced welders to work in Nacogdoches, TX. Will weld test in interview. Monday through Friday 7AM to 5PM $17-$19/HR

1.
Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
2.
Follow all safe work practices.
3.
Obtain parts and materials.
4.
Access area to be welded by climbing ladder if needed and working above ground level at different heights.
5.
Job requires (in a 9-10 hour work-day) you to stand 8+, walk 8+, and sit (1).
a. Occasionally (Up to25%) required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push/pull and grasp during an average work-day.
b. Occasionally (Up to25%) required to lift 25 – 75 lbs. of weight during an average work-day.
c. Occasionally (Up to25%) required to carrying 11 to 50 lbs. of weight during an average work-day.

Job requires being around moving machinery and equipment.

Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding
8.
Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.
9.
Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).
10.
Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
11.
Grind or clean weld joint of work piece.
12.
Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
13.
Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture.
14.
Tack assemblies together.
15.
Welds and assembles metal components to fabricate and sub-assemblies.
16.
Fabricate new or replacement parts for trailers and other equipment.
17.
Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools.
18.
May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspension parts, etc.
19.
Clean up work area daily.
20.
Drive and operate a Forklift when needed.
Skills: Understand and apply welding techniques; work quickly and skillfully with the
hands; accept responsibility for the work performed; visualize what the finished product should look like; operate welding equipment with skill.
Equipment: Wire-feed welding, Mechanical w/hydraulics, Wrenching/ Over-head Cranes. Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools and related equipment such as a grinder, torch, etc.
