Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Hawaii. Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children, with 207 beds and 66 bassinets, it is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital and is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

• Be a registered Dietitian with prior experience in an acute care pediatric hospital setting is a plus;
• be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with a variety of disease states; 
• accurately assess patient’s nutritional status utilizing the EPIC system;
• consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions;
• be able to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff and collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently and be outcome focused.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)  (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)

 

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
