As a Director Taxation, you will manage the tax accrual process, including coordination with other departments across the business, external consultants, and internal/external financial statement auditors. You will identify existing and potential tax risks, liabilities and savings opportunities, and provide recommendations regarding options/actions to take. The position will also encompass the management and improvement of tax processes and tax projects.

What you will do:

  • Manage the tax accrual process and ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Support the federal and state income tax compliance to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct tax research, analysis and planning to ensure tax optimization throughout the organization.
  • Identification of existing and potential task risks, liabilities and savings opportunities.
  • Make recommendations regarding options/actions to take, liaison activities with internal business units and staff management.
  • Integrated system and processes to ensure that there is a streamlined and efficient operation.
  • Coordination with internal and external auditors as well as consultants.
  • Management of external service providers.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • Must have a minimum 8 years of accounting and taxation experience, holding significant roles in large tax functions, which would ideally include Big 4 and corporate experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed management and supervisory skills.
  • Advanced technical skills in a variety of tax and accounting areas.
  • Significant experience with Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC-740.

What will set you apart:

  • Experience in IAS 12 and SSAP 101 preferred.
  • Financial services and/or life insurance preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Corptax.
  • Advanced degree, CPA and/or equivalent work experience.

Base Salary Range

$97,000.00 - $136,975.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
