Facility and Property Maintenance

Facility & Property Maintenance (Part-Time) 

The Facilities and Property Maintenance position will report directly to the Superintendent of Facilities and Operations (SFO). This position is an hourly pay position and requires previous professional experience performing assigned tasks including carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, finishing, painting, HVAC, and landscaping.  

Responsibilities: 

• Perform day-to-day carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, finishing, painting, HVAC, and landscaping projects as assigned by the Superintendent of Facilities & Operations at one of the Victory Church properties.  

• Maintain and keep all tools and other church resources in excellent condition 
• Clearly communicate progress on all projects to SFO regarding existing and future building projects. 
• Log all progress and completion of projects in CCB  
• Troubleshoot and make recommendations to SFO for repairs to VC properties 
• Evaluate and proactively perform regular maintenance and upkeep to VC facilities to prevent need for costly repairs and keep the building looking well-kept at all times 
• Maintain a culture of excellence  
• Complete assigned projects on-time and on-budget 
• Personal sense of ownership concerning the facilities they manage 
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously  
• Maintain a disciplined life of worship, Bible reading, prayer, fasting, tithing and giving 
• Other duties as assigned by the SFO 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Experience (2+ years) in property management, maintenance, construction, or contracting role 
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) 
• Positive, patient, friendly and professional attitude and demeanor 
• Time managements and organizational skills  
• Trustworthy, able to anticipate needs without oversight, focus on tasks at hand and efficient follow-through 
• Knowledge of building maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to VC properties as they arise 
• Experience in carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, finishing, painting, HVAC, and landscaping are a must.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• A motivated, self-starter with a strong work-ethic  
• Maintain a culture of excellence, completing assigned projects on-time, and taking a personal sense of ownership concerning the facilities they manage 
• General ability to use a computer and maintain work order systems via CCB 
• Must agree with and represent Victory Church’s Statement of Faith 

Anticipated Time Commitments:  

15-20 hours/week 

Compensation:  

Hourly Pay - $15-$20 Per Hour
