The Academy Hotel, Colorado Springs is a family owned and operated full service hotel. We're known for our signature complimentary breakfast buffet and are looking for a friendly buffet cook that will make our guests experiences memorable.

Wages: $17.00 - $20.00 based on experience + tips.


Job Description | Responsibilities | Duties: Assist with stocking, set-up and break-down of kitchen and buffet stations. Inspect, clean, chop, portion, prepare and cook breakfast food items. You will be cooking made to order omelets and eggs on the buffet line in front of the guests. Food should be prepped and cooked according to the recipe guidelines. Operate ovens, stoves, grills and fryers. Clean kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at end of shift. Ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations. Stock inventory and leftover food properly. Cook menu items with the cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Ensure food comes out to the buffet line as needed. Maintain a positive and professional approach with kitchen crew, servers and customers. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers and grills. Minimize loss and waste.


Requirements & Qualifications: Proven experience with knowledge of cooking and culinary techniques. Able to work an early morning schedule, including weekends and holidays. This is a full-time position. Breakfast is served daily 6am - 10am. The typical shift is 4am-11am. Excellent customer service and team work skills is essential.
