Lead Lube Technician

The Lead Lube Tech is responsible for performing, planning, training, directing, and evaluating the repair of serviced vehicles in express. They shall have frequent contact with lube tech staff and communication with advisors and management. The Lube Tech Supervisor must routinely advise, consult and help our team of lube techs follow company flow-chart, policies, and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Identify, assist on any concerns in the express bays.
• Manage and maintain the express bay/s work environment cleanliness, safety, perform weekly inspections and ensure adherence to regulations from express technicians.
• Monitor and mentor express rack technicians. Gain feedback, document, and discuss with Service Manager and or Directors.
• Coordinate work among repair technicians and ensure proper inspections are completed.
• A Lube Tech Lead will lead the technicians and assist in quoting and routing.
• A Lube Tech Lead requires dedication to a job well done and a willingness to go above and beyond are required for this position. Must be goal oriented, self & employee accountability, leadership, strong work ethics, high shop morale, safety and consistency.
• Facilitates communication between Express Advisors, Express Technicians and Shop Dispatcher regarding recommended services, changes in repairs, costs and time of completion.
• Instruct express shop personnel on completion of necessary paperwork.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, parts, tools and equipment needed and report to Service Manager and or Directors when needed.
• Assigning tasks/work to staff, review schedules, trains staff in maintenance and repair of all related vehicle and equipment in the express bays. Inspects work and evaluates performance.
• Keep current with the latest technology regarding the maintenance and repair of all related equipment.

PAY IS DEPENDENT UPON QUALIFICATIONS

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of dealership Lube Tech experience required.
• 1+ year supervisory experience required.
• CDJR Experience preferred.
• Able to work in a high volume environment and multi-task.
• Valid driver's license.
