JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for monitoring, supervising and developing prevention services.


Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty
satisfactorily in a timely manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This person must be proficient in interpersonal and
communication skills, as well as time management and organizational skills. Must have excellent
computer skills and comfortable with public speaking. This person must have the ability to work
well with people and interact professionally one-on-one or in group settings.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in the human service field is preferred; experience in prevention programming
may be accepted. Applicants must be certified as a Prevention Consultant or Specialist, or obtain
the certification within two years of employment.

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to stand, reach, lift,
bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less; manual dexterity;
auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.


Job Duties
• Coordinate planning, implementation and evaluation of regional community and school- based
prevention programming
• If assigned, supervise paid and/or volunteer staff responsible for prevention projects and
events
• Maintain weekly itinerary and monthly state required reports
• Ensure coordination and cooperate with programs within the service area, between other
prevention areas and statewide activities
• Organize and conduct checks for SYNAR Compliance
• Promote the Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment (APNA) survey
• Advocate the work of constituency groups to plan, develop, implement and sustain effective
prevention initiatives
• Initiate and maintain contact with school districts and health educators in each county served
• Prepare monthly/quarterly funder reports and attend grantee meetings
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Multitask, prioritize and manage time, as needed
