About the Role


The purpose of the SoyChlor Production employee is to perform manufacturing and production of SoyChlor to produce a quality product to provide to customers throughout the world. This position will also perform maintenance on equipment.


What will you do?


· Perform assigned manufacturing or warehouse tasks including housekeeping to meet the demands of the customer

· Perform assigned preventative maintenance on mechanical operations at the SoyChlor facility

· Run the robotic bagging system

· Assist in completion of required daily reports including but not limited to daily production, quality, shipping and receiving reports

· Responsible for receiving and organizing daily shipment records

· Operate a forklift for loading and unloading trucks

· Collect and compose daily and weekly samples as required

· Collect and process quality assurance data on an hourly basis and discuss this information with the SoyChlor Production Supervisor to ensure optimal product quality and plant performance

· Assist in maintaining control of all inventories and supplies associated with SoyChlor production

· Assist with monitoring quality control in all aspects of SoyChlor production by operating Quality Assurance Test Equipment

· Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service

· Work to improve production efficiency whenever possible.

· Follow all safety guidelines required by Landus, OSHA, or other regulatory agencies.

· Other duties as assigned

· Ability to operate and run a computer

· Ability to work in a culture of agility, courage, teamwork, and speed

· Knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Establish and maintain working relationships throughout the organization

· Be available to work for daily work as needed

Job Requirements (license, certifications, location, commitments)


· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license

· 1 to 3 years warehouse related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience.

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in feed production at an FDA licensed feed mill

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

· Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Computer Skills, Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and databases.

Location & Commitments


· The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

· Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of shock, explosives, and vibration.

· Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and caustic chemicals, grain and grain dust.

· Travel occasionally required, including overnight stays.
