Description

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead the Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Analysis Cell in Reston, Virginia. The successful candidate will manage the Leidos team within an interdisciplinary team of government and contractor personnel in a fast-paced, high-energy environment at a government facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex technical research and development (R&D), and operations and maintenance (O&M) projects related to Counter WMD missions against state and non-state actors worldwide. The candidate should demonstrate a willingness to manage resources and subject matter expertise to resolve highly complex problems with state-of-the-art engineering techniques. Candidate should have the ability think differently, unconventionally, and from a new perspective.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Perform duties under the strategic and operational vision of the Program Manager.
•    Contributes to financial, technical, administrative, contractual, and personnel management of the contract.
•    Manage project schedules and coordinate contractor activities in accordance with the SOW and the Program’s strategic plan.
•    Communicate with DoD, IC, and contractor mission partners as necessary to maintain relationships and receive feedback on technical capability development.
•    Act as a liaison agent for WMD-related facilities inquiries to other agencies (DIA/NGA, military services, DoD agencies, DOE, etc.).
•   Develop and provide regular executive briefings to the government on services provided on the contract that support the Leidos message.
•    Apprise Government stakeholders on the status of delivery execution, productivity, and quality assurance.

•    Ensure that work on the contract complies with the contract terms and conditions and is approved/coordinated with program manager.

•    Maintain, hire and retain appropriate staff skillsets for the CWAC projects to achieve Leidos success.

•    Contributes to delivery and management of CDRLs.

•    Proactively identifies and mitigates risks; identifies and capitalizes on opportunities.

•    Establishes and maintains an inclusive work environment consistent with Leidos values and ethics.

Basic Qualifications:
•    TS/SCI with a CI poly or TS/SCI and the willingness and ability to pass a CI poly.

•    Bachelor of Science degree in any Engineering, Scientific field and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with 10+ years of prior relevant experience. 
•    10+ years of experience leading complex teams and managing projects

•    10+ years of experience in the intelligence and/or DoD communities.
•    Experience in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) analysis
•    Excellent problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work on a team with engineers and scientists from various technical fields.
•    Basic understanding of reverse engineering of complex systems.
 

Preferred Qualifications :
•    5+ years of experience with Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Research and Development (R&D).
•    5+ years of experience in the WMD community.
•    5+ years of experience with Biology, Biological engineering, Chemistry or Chemical engineering
•    Experience with the United States military, Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and other Combatant Commands
•    Knowledge of WMD analytical tradecraft; focused on modeling and assessing industrial facilities.

Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
