Description

You'll be the first impression for our new members! This is a great opportunity where you will utilize your excellent customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills.

As a Digital New Accounts Specialist, you'll assist new and existing members with new membership and product needs through all digital channels including online banking, website, and email. This includes account set up, responding to member inquiries, and educating members on how to best access and utilize their accounts.

Schedule/Location:

  • Ability to work Monday - Friday during operation hours: 8am-6pm
  • This is a "flex" position with work from home days along with onsite days based at our Lake Forest corporate office.
    • Local Northern IL/Southeastern WI candidates only!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Initiating, processing, and onboarding new account and existing member applications and product requests through all digital channels (e.g., online banking, website, email applications) and qualifying applicants for membership to the credit union.
  • Following up with members on pending new accounts to ensure appropriate documentation and verifications are complete, ensuring system entry and account setup are accurate.
  • Validating all new member auto approvals have complete and accurate documentation and following up with members as necessary to complete. Reviewing the pending queue for manual reviews when applicable.
  • Supporting new account process and application enhancements including authoring or participating in test cases for new and updated functionality. Maintaining department resources to capture activity such as progress of current activities and implementation statuses. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in collaborating with other technical areas to resolve break/fix issues for new accounts processes.
  • Responding to inquiries from internal departments to support member requests for new accounts openings. Educating colleagues as well as members on remote channel options and the most efficient way to apply for credit union products.
  • Making recommendations for process improvements related to member service delivery, minimizing fraud exposure and other departmental efficiencies. Adhering to all appropriate policies, procedures, compliance requirements and quality control standards.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years' experience in customer service or related
  • High proficiency and comfort level with computer systems/software applications
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and follow up skills
  • Self-directed and independent worker
