Responsibilities

The HR intern will join our dynamic Human Resources team and play a vital role in supporting the department's daily operations. This entry-level position will provide valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of HR functions. As an HR intern, you will be involved in various aspects of HR, assisting with administrative tasks, employee relations, recruitment, training, and other HR initiatives. This internship is designed to provide a well-rounded and immersive experience, allowing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and contribute to the success of our HR team.

  • Support the HR team in various departments including: Compensation & Total Rewards, Governance & Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Diversity& Inclusion, HR Information Systems, Learning & Organizational Development, and Employee Benefits & Leaves of Absence.
  • Participate in the data analysis process, helping to identify trends and propose proactive solutions for common HR matters including compensation.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in coordinating onboarding and orientation activities for new hires, facilitating an efficient and positive experience for employees during their integration into the organization.
  • Supports the HR Leader with activities related to the various HR functions, such as preparing HR documents, drafting internal communications, and maintaining HR databases.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events, helping to foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with labor laws and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
  • Supports the HR team with ad hoc requests or HR projects as needed


Qualifications

Education/Training:

Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with employees at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is preferred but not required.

Experience:

A genuine interest in pursuing a career in HR, demonstrated through coursework, previous internship experience, or relevant HR-related activities.
