To be successful in this role, the Senior Housing Operations Manager must care deeply about this mission for residents, tenants, families, staff, and our greater community. Responsibilities Senior Housing department operations in accordance with the company's mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives. Gain an understanding of Country Manor’s business initiatives and strategic objectives, providing input and ideas associated with growth and improvement. Gain an understanding of each department’s activities, policies, performance, staffing and basic functions to better lead cross-campus initiatives. Become familiar with recruiting, onboarding, training and staffing processes in various areas, assisting with new initiatives. Supports an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment in the development of the management team. Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility, morale of the staff, and ensure resident and tenant needs are being addressed. Exhibit professional, respectful and positive customer service to both internal and external customers at all times. Use resident/tenant survey information to address areas of importance and need for improvement, as defined. Ensure resources are properly utilized, staff is appropriately trained, and a high level of interdepartmental teamwork is maintained. Monitor the building and grounds to work areas and equipment are clean, safe and orderly, and any hazardous conditions are addressed in a timely manner. Ensure regulatory compliance in coordination with employment laws, including effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and a supportive, proactive work environment. Develop positive relationships on behalf of Country Manor with government regulators, residents, tenants, families, area healthcare providers, physicians and the community. Assist with managing facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivables. Gain an understanding of marketing/PR strategic initiatives and on-going campaign efforts for various areas, and assist in performance traffic, on-going review of KPI’s and ROI’s, and idea generation. Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan. Take on designated responsibilities in the absence of Managers, Executive Directors and/or Senior Housing Management team as necessary. Able to remain flexible and adaptable with work assignments and assume duties as assigned by the Executive team. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Licensed as an Assisted Living Administrator in the state of operation, eligible to be, or willing to pursue. Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Gerontology, Business, or related field Must have a sincere interest for pursuing a long-term career in the senior living, assisted living, or long-term care industry. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families and employees. Must have advanced knowledge of computer systems, including email use. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must adhere to federal and state rules and guidelines regarding infection control, including Covid-19 for like facilities Experience in senior living, assisted living, or long-term care preferred, but not required.
