Overview Have strong customer service and business office skills? Want to work for an agency that’s all about helping others? Prefer to work evening hours and some weekends? Our medical office in Bloomington, IL needs you for this full-time position! Some evening hours will be required. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors. Gather demographic, financial, and insurance information in person or by telephone. Schedule appointments. Check patients in and out for appointments. Ensure that patients’ electronic medical records are up-to-date and include complete documentation and information. Verify current payer eligibility. Receive and record payments. Operate standard office equipment. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service background. Excellent telephone skills. Knowledge of insurance policies and experience using an electronic health record with scheduling software desired. General knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment. Good interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential information. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse population. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Basic keyboarding skills. Experience using MS products. Ability to commute among locations to perform assigned duties. Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance. Must be insurable.
