Responsibilities
    Provides support to the Applied Systems & Technology Sub-Service Line.
  • Assists with development of Capability Statements and Service Delivery Model (SDM) summaries.
  • Participates in sub-service line pipeline discussions; conducts internet and other searches to support development and documentation.
  • Participates in and provides support for Science and Technology Communities of Practice, as requested, including providing meeting support, developing presentations, writing white papers, conducting presentations, and updating SharePoint and Teams sites.
  • Reviews reports and/or other documents and provides summaries and/or conducts content-relevant analyses.
  • Provides project support, as requested, for biodefense or science/technology programs/projects, including planning, logistics, administrative requirements, and other tasks.
Qualifications
  • Currently at least in Junior or Senior year of Undergraduate studies and pursuing a major in a science, biodefense, bioengineering, technology or related field.
  • Current student enrolled at a four-year college/university in good standing.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data professionally and accurately in a clear, concise format.
  • Must be available for 10-12 weeks starting in May/June 2024.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills required, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients.
  • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
  • Strong problem solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong planning skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments with minimum supervision. Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects.
  • Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants who are eligible for security clearances. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Other Information:

  • Interns will need to provide their own transportation to and from work and locate and arrange for their own housing.
  • All intern positions at LMI are paid positions.
