Great Lakes Kia of Columbus is an established automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers! We are currently seeking a skilled Used Car Technician to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Used Car Technician at Great Lakes, you will play a crucial role in our operations by performing comprehensive inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pre-owned vehicles. Your attention to detail and expertise will ensure that our customers receive vehicles that are safe, reliable, and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and document any issues or needed repairs.

Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of makes and models, including but not limited to engine diagnostics, brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems.

Ensure all work is performed efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.

Accurately estimate repair costs and communicate findings to the Service Manager.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues as needed.

Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.

Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and repair techniques through continuous training and development.

Qualifications
2+ years of Service Technician experience minimum. Base pay is determined by experience.
Hyundai or Kia Certified
C level qualifications (at a minimum), including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
