Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching math to students in grades 6-8, using a variety of instructional strategies to engage all learners. This individual will be committed to helping students build strong foundational math skills and apply these concepts to real-world situations.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Math.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback to promote student improvement.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
• Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Valid California teaching credential or the ability to obtain one before the start date.
• Proven experience as a Math teacher at the middle school level.
• Strong knowledge of the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
