Edge Bander Mill Machine Operator

Role summary

The Edge Bander, Mill Machine Operator will be responsible for effectively and safely controlling a variety of woodworking machinery, including CNC drills, the edge banders, glue machines and a variety of hand tools.

Essential responsibilities

• Follow detailed drawings to produce end products of the highest quality
• Participate in training and mentoring of trainee machine operators.
• Carry out rigorous quality checks to ensure high-quality standards are always met, reporting any quality issues to management and the QC team.
• Ability to operate machines, move and remove parts as required for cleaning processes.
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math
• Working knowledge in manufacturing environment preferred
• Working knowledge in Millwork/Metal industries preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
