We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Light Truck Service Technician role.

A Light Truck Service Technician must professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. They must explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to co-workers and customers. A Light Truck Service Technician is expected to continuously learn new technical information and techniques in order to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology and perform work in accordance with specifications.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.
  • Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, and perform all general maintenance services.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid exchanges and oil changes
  • Visual safety and courtesy inspections
  • Replace batteries
  • Change bulbs, belts, and hoses
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
  • Maintain an organized and neat shop.

This position will be based in a commercial tire manufacturing/distribution center at one of our commercial facilities. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, interacts with moving mechanical parts/equipment on a daily basis, and the noise level at the plant is usually moderate to high.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED not required but preferred
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
  • 2 or more ASE certifications preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Safety conscious at all times.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Coachable, hardworking, and possess general mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have strong time management skills, as well as close attention to detail.
  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
  • Ability to complete all tasks assigned properly, with little to no follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to learn and operate provided service equipment and hand tools.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and/or smart phone skills.
