WGTS 91.9 is a Federal Communications Commission licensed noncommercial radio station operated by Atlantic Gateway Communications, Inc., (AGC), which is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

SUMMARY

The Leadership Development intern will assist the Programming, Donor Care, Listener Care and Promotion/Community Engagement Departments in various types of assignments throughout the summer. Interacting with listeners, loading vehicles, setting up displays, tracking and managing inventory, organizing volunteers and team members, and assisting department managers in varied duties as requested. The position also participates in professional, educational and planning meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support for all offsite promotions and concert team events
  • Supports station activities at the office and in the community
  • Supports the promotions team as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to the broader AGC/WGTS team effort to encourage everyone we encounter to take one step closer to Christ
  • Provide occasional support for social media efforts
  • Observes various committees for the organization as a part of the reporting requirement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive, personable attitude coupled with an outgoing personality

  • Education and/or Experience
    1. College student (junior or senior) studying Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.

Typically, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30a with some late nights and weekend shifts. Must be flexible.
