Summary:

Performs a variety of semi-skilled duties and mechanical maintenance work on a diverse assortment of electrical and mechanical equipment located throughout the fabrication plant and offices by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs routine inspections, monitors fluid levels and lubricates machinery and equipment.

Performs routine, repetitive, scheduled maintenance on machines, welders, cranes, hoists, lift trucks and grinding equipment, as assigned.

Tasks such as, but not limited to: blowing out power sources and smoke eater guns, changing tires, changing filters in a variety of machines, emptying hoppers, cleaning and testing hydraulic lines and equipment.

Repairs weld guns, leads, and gauges as needed.

Complete repairs on fittings by cutting out old fittings, reusing parts that are recoverable and recycling the rest.

Drives to appropriate destination to retrieve parts and make deliveries, as required.

Assists Maintenance Worker A in the performance of his/her duties and responsibilities.

Removes snow and ice by utilizing a plow, snow blower, or salt from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances.

Coordinates repair and maintenance priorities with the Supervisor and other Maintenance personnel.

Complies with all applicable safety guidelines, at all times, by correcting hazards, informing the Supervisor, or recommending guidance to co-worker(s), to avoid injury or damage to employees or equipment.

Complies with all applicable company policies and tool checkout procedures.

Personal Protective Equipment:

ANSI-approved steel-toed boots, ANSI-approved safety glasses with side protectors, and ANSI-approved class B hard hat and hearing protection are to be used. Welding hood, welding leathers, face shield, cutting goggles, fall protection devices and gloves are used as needed. Disposable respirators and ANSI-approved steel-toed boots with metatarsal guards are recommended.
