Summary:
The Director of Facilities Management oversees the operation, maintenance, renovation, and code compliance of all facilities. Additionally, they offer guidance and supervision to the Maintenance, Construction, Biomedical Service, and Contract Management departments. This leadership role ensures the seamless functioning of facilities and upholds regulatory standards. The Director plays a pivotal role in strategic planning for facility-related initiatives, optimizing resources for efficient operations. They liaise with various departments to address facility needs and contribute to long-term planning. Moreover, the Director provides expertise in construction projects and biomedical services. Overall, this position is crucial for maintaining high standards in facility management and ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-functioning environment.
Education:
Minimum: BS degree or an AS degree with a minimum of 5 years director experience
Preferred: MS Degree
License/
Certifications:
License: NYS Driver’s license clear of violations per FLH Policy
Certifications: Preferred: CHFM highly desirabl
Experience:
Minimum: 3 years of Healthcare Facilities Management experience. Familiarity with health care regulatory standards and applicable building codes. Proven positive leadership outcomes based on previous supervisory/management experience.
