Mobile Network Engineer

We are seeking a Mobile Network Engineer who will be responsible for performing a wide range of activities related to the mobile core network. The ideal candidate will have basic mobile network knowledge and excellent customer interaction skills.  This position is on-site, located in Reston, Virginia.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support internal teams by representing mobile team in project / product discussions.
• Represent mobile team in customer meetings.
• Support the SIM team as a technical SME on mobile related issues and questions.
• Document and track customer issues and resolutions using our support ticketing system.
• Assist with onboarding new customers and provide training and ongoing support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to identify their evolving needs.
• Extend technical support to customers through remote and on-site troubleshooting.
• Offer technical solutions and hands-on support on 3G and 4G networks.
• Expand technical knowledge through self-motivated research.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or comparable experience.
• Basic knowledge of mobile network technologies such as UMTS, LTE, 5G, etc.
• Experience in a customer-facing support role.
• Familiarity with support ticketing systems and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating system, scripting.
• Willingness to occasionally work off hours to support network maintenance.
• Infrequent domestic and international travel possible.

• Must be organized and won’t stop until the job is “solved forever”.
• Attitude and aptitude are key.  These traits trump all others.
