Loan Ops Specialist

BASIC PURPOSE: Provide support for Loan Operations and branch lending personnel. Perform daily loan booking and servicing duties and provide operational support for all new and renewed commercial, consumer and real estate loans.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform booking of all new loans, renewals, modifications and changes in terms on the Jack Henry core operating system.

Assist with the handling, assessment and posting of loan fees during the loan booking process.

Review and perform quality control checks of uploaded loan data for accuracy and completeness.

Perform loan maintenance activities, including rate and coding changes, billing record adjustments, payoffs and other miscellaneous loan changes.

Conduct daily review of exception item reports, maintenance items, closed loan reports and other miscellaneous loan reports. Make corrections, as necessary.

Post loan payments received daily, as well as payment reversals, corrections, unposted items, and performing all necessary transaction entries.

Assist with daily reconciliation of Loan Settlement and various general ledger accounts

Process participation transactions to or from participant banks.

Address questions from Branch personnel and research loan issues via phone, email, etc.

Assist other loan support areas, as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Working experience with Jack Henry; Associates operating systems, Silverlake preferred

Adaptive and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task while remaining attentive to detail

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and accurately

Strong time-management skills, with customer service orientation and aptitude

Proficient PC and technical skills necessary to perform related job duties
