Director of Intake

Full Time

Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit ministry dedicated to loving families raising children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6-22) toward Jesus by providing them with short-term, overnight respite care and holistic family support services. The Director of Intake will manage all aspects of the intake team and its responsibilities. This includes direct management of up to 4 staff and providing oversight of the full intake process- from initial inquiry, development of the ISP, Medicaid waiver approvals, and final admittance into the program – as well as maintenance of client files, scheduling and care for families throughout their Jill’s House experience. The Director of Intake will be knowledgeable in DBHDS regulations and take part in routine regulatory audits. This role will advance the mission of Jill's House by ensuring excellent customer service, communication, and timely collaboration with other teams.  

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide training and supervision to the members of the intake team. This includes hiring and on-boarding, providing feedback, accountability and performance management, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.  

Lead intake team to develop and efficiently meet personal, team and organization-wide goals with quality work.

Lead team meetings and foster consistent and positive communication and collaboration. Participate in other program related meetings.

Track and report on the intake process and respite scheduled/provided, ensuring that goals are met on consistent basis.

Collaborate with Jill’s House leadership, other teams, and staff members to develop a cohesive program and processes.  

Oversee client scheduling process to ensure groups are filled to capacity.

Maintain and effectively utilize online databases of families and clients.  

Review and implement state licensing regulations; updating, communicating and overseeing protocol and process.

Assess and determine eligibility of applied clients for the parameters of Jill’s House programs. 

Coordinate appropriate levels of care for clients in conjunction with family, support coordinators, and other professionals. Assist in development of ISP's, behavioral plans, and risk assessments.

Responsible for managing the Medicaid waiver and service authorization process for clients served.


Required Skills and Qualifications 

A baccalaureate degree in a human service field such as social work or counseling.

2+ years of experience working with children and/or adults with varying disabilities. 

At least one year of experience in a management role with demonstrated ability in team leadership, strategic initiatives, and process development.

Proficient in Microsoft office tools, specifically Microsoft Excel as well as EHR systems
