REPORTS TO: \t\tOperations ControllerApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States.Please note, this position is fully on-site and you must be comfortable reporting to the office daily.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Project Accountant safely executes financial strategies and objectives across a project or location. Understands business line service and manages improvement of operational efficiency. Exceeds the service delivery of overall customer satisfaction based on established indicators. Ensures that all projects are following Company standard operating processes.
This individual is expected to foster a collaborative work environment. It is essential that this person has excellent judgment and discretion when interacting with others and in managing information. Ideal candidate is professional, organized, able to multitask, strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and has strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
\tReview the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable
\tCreate, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets
\tPrepare various cost reports and maintain forecast accuracy
\tPrepare project performance analysis, cost, and schedule status reports
\tIdentify cost and schedule variances from objectives and recommend corrective action
\tAssess and report on project performance using established standards
\tDevelops and improves operational efficiencies either directly or indirectly through project team
\tReviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine operational progress toward stated goals and objectives
\tDrives profitability by continually communicating with field managers
\tActively works to gain the respect of subordinates through daily interaction with project team
\tEnsure that responses to project budget cost requests reflect accurate and current project cost information and stakeholders are in concurrence
\tInput data into various programs and prepare various cost and forecasting reports
\tVerify that project cost and schedule milestones were/were not attained and provide input to identify future process or business improvements and work with responsible parties to implement
\tMaintain scope change, contingency release, and change order
\tMaintain written and electronic project documentation and records for required aspects of the project
\tMaintain project files in accordance with established guidelines and requirements
\tDocument change order requests, project status, key issues, risks and resolution, priority changes and approvals
\tValidate daily, weekly, and monthly data sets
\tParticipate on (or lead) various process improvement initiatives with project management
\tPrepare various monthly and weekly project performance reports - budget and cycle forecast reports; and finance status reports, utilizing the financial tracking software
\tMonitor, analyze and report out on the projects forecasting performance, with weekly performance reports, utilizing the financial tracking tools
\tBuild and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
\tEnsure a high level of internal client satisfaction
\tUphold and promote the companys values
\tAttend operational meetings as required
\tTravel may be required for training
\tOther duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
\tCreative problem-solver, with the ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects autonomously and in an organized fashion, balancing the long-term and urgent needs of the team
\tDemonstrated ability to work calmly and collaboratively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, maintaining good judgment and the ability to escalate appropriately
\tMust be able to perform in a high transaction volume environment
\tMust be highly organized, flexible, deadline and detail oriented
\tExcellent project management and communication skills
\tMust be a self-starter, able to produce with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
\tExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
\tWhen business critical issues arise, must be willing to work outside normal business hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
\tBA/BS Degree
\tProject Management experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
\tAdvanced Degree
\tExperience working in a construction or related industry
\tExperience with Sage Accounting Software
\tExperience working with SiteTracker, or similar Salesforce variants

$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Annually
