Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing, project management and data analysis experience which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
Pay Range: $55 - $58/hr
Duration: 7-8 months

 

What’s the Job?

  • Support the Technology Transfer team with updates and or creation of SOPs, MBRs, MFR, and technical memos
  • Assist with the management of scheduled periodic review of production documentation and templates, as well as the update of documentation to align with company policy practices and standards
  • Facilitate document reviews with stakeholders
  • Implement changes needed base on corrective action preventative action (CAPA) and change control commitments
  • Evaluate process/procedure changes as necessary and assist the Change Control Supervisor with the processes of Change Management

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelors degree and 1 - 3 years experience in manufacturing site change control and /or Quality Systems
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to details- both written and verbal

What’s the Job?

Technical Writing role writes, or supports the development of, various technical documents such as: requirements, specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute in achieving project tasks and goals. Through your domain knowledge and commitment, you will create a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.
How You Will Achieve It
• Contribute to completion of project milestones and organize own work to meet project task deadlines.
• Support the Technology Transfer team with updates and or creation of SOPs, MBRs, MFR, and technical memos.
• Assist with the management of scheduled periodic review of production documentation and templates, as well as the update of documentation to align with company policy practices and standards.
• Facilitate document reviews with stake holders.
• Implement changes needed base on corrective action preventative action (CAPA) and change control commitments.
• Participates in updates of documentation to ensure documentation is maintained and current for the Functional unit.
• Maintains effective communication channels enabling effective service delivery.
• Display expected values, behavior and culture and creates an environment of open communication and equal recognition of contribution.
• Meet project deadlines while ensuring accuracy to minimize errors and reduce cycle time.
• Initiate and participate in the generation and implementation of continuous improvement (CI) ideas.
• Improve clarity of standard operating procedures by incorporating Pfizer Human Performance (PHP) principles.

POSITION SUMMARY.
• Evaluate process/procedure changes as necessary and assist the Change Control Supervisor with the processes of Change Management.
• Assist in the metrics for site change management.
• Promote consistency in the execution of changes.
• Drive continuous improvement of change processes/results.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Comply with site wide procedures including but not limited to change control, documentation, cGMP compliance, safety, and electronic data security.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to details- both written and verbal
• Navigating/working in electronic systems
• Develop and maintain metrics for the management process.
• Authoring of Standard Operating procedures

• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
