Job Title: Locum Oncology RN
Location: Wetmore, New York
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing prehensive care to oncology patients, assisting in treatment plans, administering medications, and offering emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient condition, administering medications, and assisting with treatments and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for oncology patients.
  • Monitor patient progress, assess for any changes in condition, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care services.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families coping with cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records and documentation in pliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) New York State License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Oncology RN RN in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred; Chemotherapy certification required.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and clinical situations.
  • Prior travel nursing experience is a plus.
