Minimum 1+ years nursing experience required.
Interventional Radiology RN needed in Birmingham, Alabamafor a travel position.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2years of nursing experience, with a focus on interventional radiology preferred.
- Certification in Radiologic Nursing or a related field is desirable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Preparation:
- Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments, reviewing medical history and ensuring patient readiness for interventional radiology interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Procedure Assistance:
- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Monitor patients closely, assessing vital signs and responding promptly to any changes.
Medication Administration:
- Administer medications as prescribed, including conscious sedation, and ensure patients' comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Monitor and manage intravenous (IV) lines according to established protocols.
