Marquis Asset Management Inc is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, TX (77033 or 77044). Who We Are: Marquis Group was founded in 1992. What We Offer: Hourly rate based on experience Benefits package available About the Role: Assist in the coordination daily operations of the engineering/maintenance departments and staff; maintains all equipment, interior and exterior of buildings, and property in proper condition. What You’ll Do: Maintain property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through development and implementation of preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications Maintain organization’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems Maintain turnover of units by scheduling in-house work and external vendors as needed Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests Maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations Assists staff in maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property as needed Participates in the after-hours emergency on-call service for residents Participate in required quarterly PM inspections of homes Pre-inspection of all properties in preparation for all REAC inspections Participate and maintain work orders to ensure completed to standards and in a timely manner Participate in completion of unit turns Skills Required: 2+ years of related experience or equivalent EPA Certifications and other licenses required by law (preferred) Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills Knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws Commitment to excellence and high standards Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Proficient on OneSite and Microsoft a plus Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Creative, flexible, and innovative team player Ability to understand any and all safety rules and regulations To Apply: Please submit your resume via the "APPLY NOW" button Equal Opportunity Employer
