Our client, a National Courier Company, is seeking a Dispatcher for their Ashburn, VA location. This company provides customer service, dispatch, and operational functions on a local and national level. Location: Ashburn, VA

Pay: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 10:30PM - 7AM

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inbound and Outgoing phone calls
  • Assist and direct drivers in the field across multiple states
  • Provide administrative support
  • Computer data entry
  • Manifest and prepare documents as required
  • Assist in billing
  • The Dispatcher must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work well independently.
  • Great telephone etiquette & computer skills.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Communicates internally with terminal and corporate office staff, and externally with shippers, contractors and customers.
  • Strong computer skills including above average Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-Motivator, Problem Solver and ability to Multi-Task
  • Detailed and reliable
