CNC Technician

The CNC Technician position is located in our Kansas City, Kansas location.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with CNC mills and lathes including electro-mechanical, operational, electrical/electronic and overall equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, install, service, rebuild and perform maintenance as necessary.
• Analyze error codes and determine requirements for repair.
• Repair and replace drives as necessary.
• Recommend additional services or the purchase of additional equipment.
• Determine, order and replace parts as necessary.
• Locate and schedule outside technical assistance as required.

Requirements

• Experience with Siemens controllers
• Experience with G-code
• Experience on homing machine
• Experience with linear scales
• Ability to read wiring diagrams
• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis Cincinnati profilers and mills
• CNC machine tool troubleshooting and repair experience
• Knowledge of changing spindles and ball screws
• Hands-on knowledge of volt meters, oscilloscopes and other test/measuring equipment
• Ability to read and understand direction and procedure manuals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with and maintain effective relationships
• Any experience with Servos, motion controls and PLC’s is a plus
