Lead Marine has immediate openings for Painter Helpers for the shipyard in San Diego, CA. For this project you will be working 40 hours/week, however be prepared 10 hour days and some weekends. Must be open to all 3 shifts. Shipyard/Marine experience a huge plus.
As a Painter Helper you will Assists the Journey level painters, performing any combination of following duties:
- Pouring specified amounts of chemical solutions into stripping tanks
- Placing articles, such as cabinets, metal furniture, and paint containers into stripping tanks and removes articles after prescribed period of time
- Use of power & pneumatic tools to remove paint and prep surfaces for paint application
- Smooths surfaces to be painted, using wire brush, sandpaper, or portable sanding and buffing equipment
- Strips masking tape over surfaces not to be painted.
