We are currently seeking to hire a K-8 Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.


Title: Special Education Teacher K-8, Webster Groves Campus

FLSA Status: Exempt

Employment Type: Full time, Salary

Reports to: Head of School, K-8

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Special Education Teacher plans and administers the instructional program and classroom operation in compliance with guidelines and regulations determined by the administration and the state and federal agencies.

Required Education/License/Certification(s) and Experience

  • Certified in LD, ED, Cross Categorical, or other areas of exceptional children
  • Experience with co-teaching model
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team
  • Embraces project-based learning
  • Successful experience teaching small groups of students
  • Ability to monitor student progress through data

Working Conditions

  • Full time position
  • 10-month contract
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM with additional hours as needed
