Requirements:

RESPONSABILITIES:

The Calibration Technician will report to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the verification and calibration of all measurement tools. These measurement tools include, but may not be limited to, all torque wrenches used on the production line.

The Calibration Technician will:

  • Use the torque certification bench to ensure all torque wrenches are reading accurately
  • Assess all measurement tools periodically to ensure that they are functioning properly
  • Outsource calibration and repair of tools, which will include (1) obtaining quotes, and (2) sending out and receiving in tools to be calibrated and/or repaired
  • Recommend tools that need to be replaced
  • Perform verification measurements of critical characteristic joints (CCs) and significant characteristic joints (SCs) and keep these measurements documented
  • Work with Quality, Tool Technicians, and Engineering to resolve issues and make improvements
  • Keep work areas clean and organized


REQUIRED SKILL AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a production environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw conclusions from a variety of data sources
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks according to business objectives and the ability to pursue several objectives simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and good, positive attitude
  • Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong customer service skills (customer-focused and people-focused)
  • Ability to follow detailed directions
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
