Reports to: Family Resource Director
Primary Work Location: Remsen
Pay Status: Hourly
Eligible for Benefits: Yes
Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Hours are subject to change based on financial and program requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and 2 years management experience preferred.
- Will consider other degrees as appropriate with 2 years management experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to supervise staff and contractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- An understanding of basic construction preferred.
- *Building Professional Institute (BPI) Auditor would be a plus and require some changes in job description.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for day-to-day activities of the weatherization and LiHEAP programs.
- Accurately submit all fiscal and program reports on a timely basis.
- Review billed invoices for accuracy and ensure allowable expenses according to funding.
- Complete all duties necessary to put homes on the list, bid work, and finalize homes.
- Coordinate completion of homes according to state standards.
- Ensure and maintain accurate and complete records for compliance with funding sources.
- Keep updated contractor records.
- Run and utilize priority lists of clients, including gathering homeowner and landlord information and sending/receiving letters of eligibility.
- Complete all duties necessary for systems and paperwork of LiHEAP program.
- Verify accuracy, authorize payment or deny assistance, and assure contract compliance for applications in a timely manner.
- Maintain a good rapport and have excellent communication skills with utility vendors and outreach staff.
- Assemble LiHEAP Procedure Manuals and assist with all Energy Program trainings, as applicable.
- Maintain inventory control and keep inventory records accurate.
- Be responsible for and operate computer software systems.
- Responsible for the selection, hiring, and orientation of contractors on an ongoing basis.
- Provide technical assistance and training to staff and contracted positions.
- Participation in training/meetings as necessary. This includes overnight travel and in area travel.
- Assist with writing grants when assigned.
- Assist the Family Resource Director as needed.
- Participate in other agency activities as assigned.
- Keep office work area and equipment clean and properly cared for.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
