Job Description

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is currently searching for meeting support professional to assist in the successful planning and execution of conferences and events for the Structural engineering Institute (SEI).

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the senior conference and technical managers with technical program development and pre-event logistical and operational support to the assigned events
  • Coordinating signage, shipping, carrying out conference management timeline duties as assigned
  • Assisting in post-events reconciliations with vendors, speakers, facilities, committees, etc.
  • Traveling to and assisting at on-site events, including coordination with secondary vendors, room counts, signage coordination, and other related duties
  • Updating websites
  • Performing other administrative tasks in support of SEI operations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-year college/university degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of conference and event experience with a corporation, university, association, or similar organization
  • Thorough proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple program timelines
  • Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A desire and willingness to travel to in-person meetings, conferences, and events
