Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead with prior leadership experience and expertise in advanced recruitment strategies to join our team!

Role Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Lead is a People Manager, and an expert in both advanced recruitment techniques and in a functional area of expertise. The Talent Acquisition Lead provides support and direction to direct reports and strives to achieve and exceed staffing goals and objectives, and demonstrates a willingness to go above and beyond to support hiring managers with their staffing needs. This is a motivated, process oriented senior talent acquisition team player with strong client and candidate management skills. This requires the ability to be assertive, work with a sense of urgency, and have a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership
    • Provide leadership and support to a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists and ensure highest levels of service delivery and Buckeye Partners hiring standards are consistently met.
    • Learning and Development. Identify learning and development opportunities for team members and foster a continuous learning environment through regular team training sessions.
    • Performance Management. Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team, manage employee goal setting process, and own the performance appraisal process.
  • Recruitment Management
    • Full-Life Cycle Recruitment. Perform full life cycle recruiting for assigned client groups' positions, and provide support for other functional areas as needed. Manage the recruitment process from requisition creation, management, sourcing, screening, facilitating interviews and assessments and offer management.
    • Workforce Planning. Develop a robust workforce plan for assigned program areas. Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate position criteria based on current organizational needs to determine candidate requirements, and advertising and sourcing options.
    • Proactively source, using innovative sourcing tools and techniques to identify candidates such as online social networking, traditional networking, Boolean searches, referrals and any other available methods.
    • Talent Pools. Maintain an organized pipeline of active, viable candidates in each functional area assigned.
    • Screening and Interviewing. Screen and assess candidates to ensure fit for technical and behavioral aspects of the role, conduct behavioral interviews, and contribute to candidate selection process.
    • Active involvement in the the interviewing and selection process to ensure a smooth and timely process.
    • Stakeholder Engagement. Actively engage with managers, provide ongoing status of requisitions and reporting, advise and influence managers throughout the hiring process, and close requisitions in a timely manner.
    • Offer Management. Able to effectively develop offers based on candidate experience and Buckeye's compensation model. As Lead, act as final approver of the Talent Acquisition's team members prepared offers.
  • Reporting and Data Analytics
  • Contribute to the Talent Acquisition reporting and analytics efforts to support Buckeye's workforce plan.
  • Ability to develop meaningful analysis to drive stakeholder engagement and actions that will positively influence Buckeye's workforce plan.
  • Ability to confidently speak to and deliver semi-annual VP scorecards on talent trends.
  • Ability to form recommendations on sourcing strategy based on data insights and observations. Prepare and provide monthly talent acquisition and outreach status reports.
  • Special Projects
    • As the Talent Acquisition Lead, this role is expected to support and lead special projects designed to reinforce Buckeye's workforce plan. These activities may include:
    • Recruitment Marketing and Brand positioning.
    • Early Career Program, including full cycle recruitment and intern experience.
    • New Manager onboarding for Talent Acquisition process or New Hire orientation
  • And other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Communications, Finance, Economics, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within the Talent Acquisition space.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading a team.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful workforce
  • Advanced experience and understanding of leading edge recruiting techniques and tools including social networking (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), Boolean searching and traditional networking methodologies
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with university, technical schools and alternative diversity networks.
  • Proven ability to technically evaluate and screen candidates.
  • Strong relationship management skills to identify, assess, and maintain candidates and hiring manager relationships.
  • Experience in supporting remote customers.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or customer relationship management (CRM) applications.
  • Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the recruitment and employment function.
  • Experience managing stakeholder requirements including providing timely feedback.
  • Understanding and compliance with Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) principles and other recruiting related compliance requirements is required.
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability and excellent teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated relationship building, client management and influencing skills
  • Advanced level candidate pre-closing and closing skills with proven ability to determine viable prospects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Travel: 15%

Certificates & Licenses:

  • Boolean technique certification i.e., AIRS (CIR, CDR, etc.)

  • Ability to problem solve and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in the workplace.
  • Incumbent must have ability to work at a desk for extended periods of time.

Essential Functions:
