***We are currently hiring for a Case Packer at the new South Mountain Creamery location in Chambersburg, PA.***
Our Production Team is vital to creating high-quality farm-fresh products that are distributed to home delivery and wholesale customers alike.
This position is anticipated to work M-F, 7am-3pm with some flexibility to stay later or come in earlier as requested by management.
**Duties include but are not limited to:**
* Work the plastic line of our production area
* Form boxes for packaging
* Accurately place product in boxes for shipment to customers
* Acquire information from Supervisor on products being run for the day
* Operate machinery
* Sort bottle returns coming back from wholesale routes and distributors
* Clean and maintain warehouse space
* Organize work area
* Assist in other departments, as necessary
***The right person has:***
* Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues that may arise
* A High School Diploma or equivalent
* The motivation to work in a team environment - safely
* A detail-oriented mindset
Work is performed in a warehouse and refrigerated settings; you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while working safely and efficiently. This position requires the incumbent to lift roughly 50lbs from ground level to waist high using proper lifting techniques. Bending and other physical tasks are required. This position also requires climbing ladders.
Candidates should be able to learn quickly, troubleshoot accurately, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
