**Responsibilities**

+ Responsible for loading and unloading of supplies and equipment, and the movement of materials from dock to bin or from storage to shipping.

+ Uses remote terminals and keyboards to receive, confirm and transmit inventory data.

+ Prepares and completes required shipping documentation for various means of ground transportation and air freight.

+ Packs and labels material following agency, Federal and international packing and shipping requirements for hazardous and nonhazardous materials and items.

**Physical Demands**: Incumbent's work requires standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time. During periods of high fire activity incumbent may be required to work for periods of time up to 21 days without days off. Frequently lifts and carries supplies, equipment, and printed materials that may weigh 60-70 pounds. Work is generally performed on concrete or hard surface floor.

**Work Environment**: Incumbent works in both inside and outside areas. Cache warehousing is done in areas that are hot, cold, dry, wet, drafty, and poorly lighted. The work is dirty, dusty, and greasy. He/she is exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruise, and the safety hazards inherent of warehousing.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
