Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Administrative Operations Manager, Assistant Production Manager, Supervisors

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedules appointments for efficient use of labor and timely unloading
• Performs truck check-in, matches up bills, records weights and quantities.
• Print purchase orders and receiving tags. Reconciles purchase orders to receiving documents, makes adjustments as needed for proper payment. Files purchase orders.
• Keeps supervisors informed about changes with inbound and outbound loads.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Unloading trucks with forklift and pallet jack.
• Helping with inventory, raw produce and packaging.
• Assisting with production.
• Creating work orders, paperwork, and planning for production.
• Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:

• Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing
• Must be able to solve practical problems
• Must be able to perform simple addition, fraction, and subtraction problems

Education and Experience:

High school or equivalent experience. Basic Computer knowledge necessary. Up to one year of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to perform medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force to move objects.
• Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without correction, color vision, field of vision, and depth perception.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, standing, feeling, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, and repetitive motions

Working Conditions:

The duties of this position are performed in an office and produce warehouse. The Produce Commissary production floor is 39 to 50 degrees

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Office equipment including telephone, 10-key calculator, copier and fax. Printers, terminals and PC with EXE Inventory Control System, mainframe, spreadsheet software, CB radio and warehouse intercom. Pallet jacks and forklift.
